Weeks have sped past and now it's time to bid goodbye to fellow classmates, lecturer and the wonderful tutorial classes which I look forward to each week. I have learnt a lot from this module, especially writing according to the 7Cs principle, formal business writing such as application letter and resume. More importantly, the soft skills such as interpersonal and communication skills honed during this period is priceless. I especially value the constructive feedback that my coursemates have given me on my blog posts and during class activities. Those were honest and sincere feedback which I value and probably will not be able to get elsewhere.
Indeed, the experience of being in a small class of 12 makes learning very effective, furthermore the close bonding within the peer teaching and research project team is something unique to this module. As I have realized, new friendship is a bonus that this module has given me aside from the writing practices and the presentation experience I have gathered.
More importantly, the feedback from my tutor- Ms. Goh is very constructive and encouraging. With her kinds words and honest opinions, I am able to work on my weaknesses and move a step closer to becoming an all-rounder in not just communicating with others but also becoming a confident presenter.
With joyful memories and gratitude to Ms. Goh, I shall end off my blog post here. It is a pity that this will be the last time I post and see comments to my blog (haha), but I believe what everyone has learn from ES2007S will stay useful for life.
Wishing everyone the best for their future endeavors!
All the best

Dear Shu Yan,
ReplyDeleteI have enjoyed your blogs. I am very happy to have taken this module with you and it has helped to improve communication between the both of us. Our friendship has also strengthened over the 13 weeks. By providing comments on each other and giving feedback, I realised that we have learnt much over the weeks. I would like to thank you for the great experience we shared over the peer teaching session with Yin Bei.
All the best in everything. :)
With Love
Ying Hui

Dear Shu Yan,
ReplyDeleteIt was indeed an excellent experience working with you during the project proposal and oral presentation. I have learnt a lot from you and found we have a lot in common.
Also, your kind-hearted, hardworking and forth-coming nature really impressed me as was evident during the project as well as your timely blog posts.
I thoroughly enjoyed and looked forward to your blog posts and the critical criticism you offered every single time, for our own benefit. You have also improved tremendously in your writing from your first post till now.
Its a pity all good things have to come to an end but I hope to keep in touch and have a chance to work with you again in the future. Wish you all the very best in all your future endeavours and may you get everything you desire!
Regards,
Prameet

Dear classmates and Ms. Goh,
ReplyDeleteTo: Jihan, YingHui, Prameet, SiXiao and Kenneth
Thank you for your kind comments to my final post. Also, I was very touched by what Prameet said, "I am glad to have such a positive image in your mind, Prameet" :)Yes, we do have many things in common and the positive traits you have associated with me, I similarly can find them in you.
Reading the comments brought back memories of the very first lesson, I still remember there was once (not sure if it was the first lesson) I was sitting in front of Jihan and she gave a very warm and kind smile which really made my day "Thank you Jihan :)". And as for YingHui and Kenneth, I don't know why but I am always happy to see both of them. Especially Kenneth always appear cheerful to me:).
Alright I should stop reliving those moments but instead look forward to the future. I believe that with the newly acquired communication and presentation skills, I am able to go further than where I am now especially in preparation for my career. This is with credits to Ms. Goh's incredible teaching and patience. The lively moments in class never fails to distinguish this module from the plentiful others making it truly unique and memorable.
With no complaints about the workload now (but I admit I complained before during the module), everything is worth it. I am glad to have taken this module and interacted with my dear classmates.
Wish you all the best in your future endeavors, and remember to say "Hi" when you see me! I definitely will do so when I see you :).
Take Care!
Regards,
Shu Yan
Hi Shu Yan
ReplyDeleteIn the first tutorial you said that you hadn't had any failure of communication in your life. Now I belive it becasue you are such a confident girl that you can always be a "ice breaker" in any communication. With this ability, you will have no problem in succeeding in your future career.
Thank you for giving me so much help during the preparation of our peer teaching. Thank you for sharing " the S$ 6K story" with me when we talked about the expected income of a family in one tutorial.
Keep in touch and good luck in your future endeavours.
Regards
Yinbei
